Venerable Tenzin Kacho, Ordained by His Holiness the Dalai Lama
Barbara Emi Kiyoski – who is today known by her ordination name, Tenzin – is a highly devout Buddhist nun, author, and teacher of all things spiritual. She was ordained by His Holiness the Dalai Lama in 1985 and is the assistant spiritual director and teacher at Thubten Dhargye Ling Buddhist Center in Long Beach, California, and a visiting teacher at Thubten Shedrup Ling in Colorado Springs. Tenzin occasionally resides at Geden Choling Nunnery in northern India and also works as a hospice chaplain in Los Angeles, California.
